In east central North Carolina, Ocracoke Island is off the coast in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and can be reached only by ferry from one of 3 different locations. Once on the island, take NC-12 to the village of Ocracoke, then take Lighthouse Road 2 blocks to Ocracoke Lighthouse. NOTE: This bonus requires a ride on one of three ferries that serve Ocracoke Island.  Due to the high points involved, should a ferry be closed due to weather or mechanical problems, you must try, and document, that you reached all three ferry terminals during normal operating hours and each of the three ferries were closed to claim this bonus.
